Wet Wells
Wet Wells
Raw sewage flows into lift station wet wells to be pumped to treatment facilities, accumulations of sewage, grease, oils, fatty acids and calcium and magnesium soaps form deposits on the walls. These deposits reduce volume capacity of wet wells and by their natural decomposition process emit offensive odors. To return lift stations to optimum efficiency this accumulation of debris must be removed or substantially reduced by high pressure water and industrial vacuuming.
There are many preventiive steps/programs that can be implemented to reduce the frequency of wet well cleaning. These programs are very cost affective, as cleaning wet wells can be a prohobitively expensive as grease and other materials have to be transported to special facilities that can safely manage this type of waist.
